Looking for a fun and FREE family activity? Join us at Beaverdam Park for Free Fishing Day, proudly sponsored by the Department of Wildlife Resources! An Conservation Officer will be onsite and will be providing fishing poles and bait to registered participants ( parents we have a limited number of rental poles available for you! )

This special event is part of Virginia’s Free Fishing Weekend, which means no fresh water fishing license is required — making it the perfect time to introduce your little ones to the joys of fishing. After fishing, lunch will be provided by the Abingdon Ruritan Club.

Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-timer, this is a fantastic opportunity to cast a line and maybe even catch the big one. Gather the family and enjoy a day outdoors creating unforgettable memories.
