A dedication service will be held at Rosewell on Sunday, June 1 at 3 pm to celebrate past resilience and embrace renewal at the Remembrance Structure constructed on the manor’s north side. Visitors are invited to attend the service on the Rosewell grounds, and no entry fee will be charged for the event. Pastors from the area will lead them in song and prayer.
The Remembrance Structure evokes images of past lives lived in the shadow of Rosewell. It stands today as a bridge between history and hope and is a testament to those who endured there. “These people lost families and communities when brought here against their will to build Rosewell, wait on their enslavers, and raise crops that enriched the landowners,” said Pastor Ward Warren of First Baptist Church in Ordinary.
