This tour is presented by The Fairfield Foundation!
Explore the tiny house that became the birthplace of Walter Reed, the army physician who studied the cause of yellow fever. Built in 1821, the birthplace represents a rare surviving example of a small, plain vernacular house that was once very common throughout Tidewater Virginia. The house will be open for guided tours that discuss the history of Belori, the house's structure, and Walter Reed's life.
