Bee Alert Notifications
Gloucester County Emergency Management has launched a new emergency notification service for citizens called “Bee Alert.” All citizens must manually register to receive emergency notifications even if they are already registered with the former system, CodeRED. Data from CodeRED was not automatically transferred over to the new system, which uses Everbridge technology. While registration for Bee Alert will be ongoing, citizens are asked to register as soon as possible to avoid missing any emergency notifications. Please note: for emergencies, dial 911.
Stay Notified
Bee Alert, Gloucester’s emergency alert system, is now part of the Everbridge network, which enables County officials to quickly deliver emergency alerts and notifications.
Bee Alert allows individuals and businesses to provide their own contact information allowing everyone to control how they receive these notifications. Bee Alert requires street addresses in order to issue geographically-targeted emergency messages. Even if you have an unlisted number or use a cell phone or VOIP phone as your primary number, you can still receive alerts relevant to your area.
How Bee Alert is Used
Bee Alert will be used to notify you about imminent threats to health and safety as well as informational notifications that affect your locations or work environments. Administrators will send notifications regarding severe weather, flooding, road closures, water outages and more.
Please Note
You will not receive emergency alerts unless you register in the new system. Those who were registered in the old alert system must re-register. Please make sure your most up-to-date contact information is included. If your contact information changes, you can always visit your profile and easily update your information.
Questions or need assistance?
If you do not have internet access or need assistance registering, please contact the Emergency Management department at 804-693-1390. We will be more than happy to put your information into the system!
