Exciting Archaeology Dig Opportunity this Friday ( and May 24th)!

The Fairfield Foundation is excited to collaborate with Abingdon Church for the third public archaeology excavation as part of the parish's anniversary celebrations in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Our goal is to bring the congregation and our broader community together in the search for the 17th-century Abingdon Church. Students and the general public are encouraged to work alongside Fairfield staff for two days each spring and fall, investigating the site of the earlier church, recovering artifacts, and exposing the foundation.
