The Fairfield Foundation and the community will celebrate the 173rd birthday of Dr. Walter Reed by hosting a one-day archaeological “summer camp!” We will have a test unit open for kids of all ages to help us dig! Additional activities include a brick-building activity, a historical interpretation of medical tools Walter Reed may have used, and an exploration inside his tiny birthplace in Belroi! We will be sending out a scavenger hunt in the next couple of weeks that you can do ahead of time and submit on the big day for prizes!
