International Clean Coastal Day Recap!
Thank you to everyone that came out and participated in the International Coastal Clean Up day at Gloucester Point Beach! This event was hosted by our Clean Community Coordinator and in partnership with Ocean Conservancy.
1,473 items were picked up totaling 106.8 pounds!
Being a part of a Clean Gloucester event is super easy!
Sometimes they are held in a specific location like the International Coastal Cleanup or sometimes volunteers can pick their own location to clean. This is great if groups want to clean up their roads leading to their neighborhood or a location you love driving through but hate to see litter.
While you are cleaning you will fill out a form similar to the one here and turn that in to the Clean Community Coordinator. She will then add up all the totals and record the amount of trash either by pieces or weight.
The Fall 2022 Clean Gloucester Day brought in trash that totaled more than an adult elephant!
